The Funders Collaborative on Youth Organizing (FCYO) is a collaborative of funders and youth organizing practitioners that provides capacity building, grantmaking support and advocacy, and networking opportunities to youth organizing groups addressing racial justice issues. FCYO also brings together funders and organizers to support the field of youth organizing and its commitment to systemic change and social justice nationwide. Hazen’s renewal grant will enable FCYO to build a strong, sustainable, and interconnected youth organizing field with multiple opportunities for young people to develop and exercise their leadership for a just society. Through this work, FCYO seeks to turn the increased visibility of young organizers of color into long term and strategic investment to support the Youth Community Organizing Resource Exchange, a set of activities aimed at bringing together a large number of youth organizers from across the country to share learnings, build relationships, and develop common strategy, the Pipelines to Power Initiative, supporting groups experimenting with new power building strategies, and new initiatives.
