CADRE is dedicated to advancing parent leadership to ensure that all children are rightfully educated regardless of where they live. CADRE hosts an annual 9 month Academy that equips black and brown parents in historically marginalized communities with skills, tools, and resources to challenge oppressive educational policies. They monitor and implement school climate accountability while leveraging the voices of parents to influence public narrative by disrupting and eliminating race-‐based and anti-‐Black disparities in public schools. In 2019, CADRE won a litigation settlement resulting in a new fund for 75 eligible K-‐3 schools across California to do a root cause analysis of their literacy attainment challenges as part of a three-‐year plan to address these root causes and increase literacy rates.
