The Hazen Foundation has provided general operating support to the Chinese Progressive Association for their fiscally sponsored group: Grassroots Asians Rising since 2017. This alliance of organizations represents many leading, grassroots high school, and young-­‐adult-­‐led organizations that organize for racial justice across the United States through mutual support, collective strategy, leadership pipelines for grassroots leaders. This grant renewal will support Grassroots Asians Rising to work with their affiliate groups and partners to respond, organize, and serve the emergency needs of their grassroots organizing member organizations in this time of crisis amidst growing racist and xenophobic rhetoric and violence targeting the API community.
